If you walk around Frostburg campus it is a very apparent that the only ones affected by Election day tomorrow are Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.
Oh wait, they aren't?
Unfortunately, no one seems to know anything about the District 6 candidates for the House of Representatives. When asked who they were voting for, many people had no idea who they supported or even their first names.
Benjamin Bolyard, a senior, stated that he wasn't voting for either as he was voting Independent, when told there was no Independent running in this particular category, he mentioned a name that was held by none of the candidates running. He then gave up and said he didn't really care, it didn't matter.
The answers don't seem to get much better, when I asked Graduate student Sarah Thomas about who she was voting for she said she figured she would vote for Bartlett (R) because her family raved about him and she generally leans toward the Republicans. While this might not be much better of an answer, at least she's got the party right!
I think that there are some people out there who know what they're talking about, but since this category only applies to people who live in the local area permanently, it was rare to find someone who even knew who you were talking about.
