Never before was there a time that you could literally
purchase anything your heart desires online and have it delivered to your front
door. But if you’re like me you wanna save money any way you can while having
the convenience of not shopping at a store, right? Well here’s an idea that a
friend passed along to me, and now I never shop online without doing it.
When checking out at nearly any online store there’s usually
an option to enter what is called a “Promotional Code.” Most people just assume
they don’t have one and skip right over this box, however they’re missing out.
Nearly every store has some kind of general promotional code they are running;
sometimes they just don’t advertise it.
So here’s the idea: when getting to the point of having the
option to enter a promotional code head over to your handy dandy Google and
type in “(Store Name) Promotional Codes” in the search bar. One of your top
results will probably be from a website called RetailMeNot.com. This is a shopper
run database for online promotional codes for 1000’s of online stores. There is
no fee to get codes and they list them in order of probability of being still
active.
What I’ve found is that most times you will be able to find
a promo code for free shipping from most stores. That might not seem like a big
deal, but when you’re shopping multiple stores saving $3-5+ each purchase adds
up.
This tip takes all of 20 seconds to use whenever you’re
shopping online, and I’ve found such good codes I literally never shop at ANY online
store without looking up promo codes, because even if you save a couple bucks
from it, why not? That’s free money.
