Dr. Gibralter recently tweeted an announcement of the Frostburg State University Foundation announcing nine new officers and six new members to the Board of Directors.
The new officers include Quincy Crawford of Annapolis, Md., Mary Clapsaddle of Arnold, Md., Lynn Fike of Frostburg, Joe Pace of Frostburg, and Sandi Saville of Cumberland. Crawford is the current President, Clapsaddle is the current Vice-President, Fike is the current Secretary, Pace is the current treasurer, and Saville is the current assistant treasurer.
The new Directors-at-Large include Gladys Wensel Faherty of Frostburg, Sandy Day of Mount Airy, Md., and Ken Oldham of Frederick, Md.; and Immediate Past President Sam Griffith of Cumberland. Crawford, Clapsaddle, Faherty, Day and Oldham are FSU alumni.
All of the new board members are FSU alumni, including Tom Creamer, Jeff Fegan, Dr. Mary Kay Finan, Brian Mattingly and Tony Zook. Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Ronald Forrester also joined in November.
The Media Release states:
"The FSU Foundation serves as the tax-exempt entity through which donors make charitable gifts to support a myriad of programs at the University. The Foundation is governed by the Board of Directors, who assume the fiduciary responsibility for the management of funds provided by donors.
The FSU Foundation recently wound up its successful $15 million comprehensive campaign, Staking Our Claim: The Campaign for Frostburg, which supports student enrichment, academic enrichment and regional and cultural enrichment. "
