What Halloween means to Students?

Eric Arditti a recent general studies major at Mcdanial College from Fulton, Maryland says " I plan on staying home for Halloween for the first time in years and just handing out candy, to the trick-or-treaters or come by my house. I think for Halloween I'm just going to wear this scary old mask I found, and a black sheet to cover the rest of my body. Something really simple not trying to go all out. The best part of Halloween would have to be the candy, tons and tons of candy. Im still a kid at heart no matter how old I get.

Jess Musselman a sophomore Liberal Studies major at Frostburg State from Libertytown, Maryland still enjoys the Halloween holiday." I'm pretty excited for Halloween I am going to be going home this weekend and hangout with some of my hometown friends and go out to a couple of parties. This year again I will probably end up being a hippy or a Indian or something like that because that's what I was previous years and I do not have money to be buying another costume. But my favorite parts of Halloween would def have to be the old traditions like the scary movies that come on AMC and the Halloween festivals and of course seeing people and the kids in their costumes.

Stephanie Straka a junior health and education major at Frostburg State University from Jerome, Pennsylvania is one of the few who is not into the Halloween festivities. Straka explains " I'm just not into the whole Halloween thing anymore. I think I'm getting to old for it and also all the dressing up just takes to much time. I'm just going to chill in the house and watch a couple of movies until I sleep. Basketball and the whole practice things really just takes me out of the mood."

Halloween means different things and many people are going to engage in different activities. What will you take part in this Halloween on Monday October 31, 2011.
